Turn Back to the Lord With ALL Your Being, and He Will Take You Back! He'll Restore, Prosper, Mu
Good Morning My Loves,
Yesterday I wrote about the “renegade spirit,” and how the Lord’s jealousy and anger burned against the one who could care less how their actions affected everyone else. This is the person who expects the blessings of God, but refuses to obey God. They know they are stubborn, and their hearts are not for Him. They have no desire to serve Him, and even when they know the consequences of their behavior, they still choose them. The Lord said, “This kind of person would not find forgiveness, and every curse written in the book would come upon him.” (Deut. 29:19-20)
When a person has this kind of spirit, there are inevitably those around them that are hurt and “influenced” by their behavior. They are usually strong personalities that lure others into their net, and turn those who are influenced by them (their victims) away from God, their pastors, their parents, etc… However, when those that have disobeyed God along with them realize the devastation that their sin has caused, they usually come to their senses and return to the Lord.
The Lord promised that when they return to Him with all their heart, and obey Him, that He will restore them. He will restore their fortunes and make them prosper even more!
There is a difference between a “renegade,” and their victims.
A renegade doesn’t care about the consequences, their victims do.
The Lord knew that His people had a tendency to stray, and that the desire to sin had to be dealt with. He made a promise to one day “circumcise their hearts” and remove the desire to sin, so that they could live as a recipient of his blessing. Jesus fulfilled that promise when He shed his precious blood.
WOW! What a gracious, merciful, kind, patient, and long-suffering God. He was just WAITING TO BLESS THEM!
I can see this in my own life. God wasn’t waiting to block me upside the head with a baseball bat. He was waiting for me to get sick and tired of the consequences of sin, so that He could prosper, multiply, and bless me with abundance. He wanted me to see that walking in covenant with Him, was so much better than walking in covenant with “renegades.” He wanted me to TURN TO HIM WITH ALL MY HEART, WITH ALL MY SOUL (MY ENTIRE BEING!)
Deuteronomy 30:1-10 (AMP)
Restoration Promised
30 “So it shall be when all these things have come on you, the blessing and the curse which I have set before you, and you ]call them to mind in all the nations where the Lord your God has driven you,
2 and you have returned to the Lord your God and have listened to and obeyed His voice with all your heart and with all your soul, …
3 then the Lord your God will restore your fortunes..
5 The Lord your God will bring you into the land which your fathers possessed, and you will take possession of it; and He shall make you prosper and multiply—even more than your fathers.
6 “And the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the hearts of your descendants [that is, He will remove the desire to sin from your heart], so that you will love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul, so that you may live [as a recipient of His blessing].
7 The Lord your God will inflict all these curses on your enemies and on those who hate you, who have persecuted you.
8 And you shall again listen to and obey the voice of the Lord, and do all His commandments which I command you today. 9 Then the Lord your God shall make you abundantly prosperous in everything that you do, in the offspring of your body and in the offspring of your cattle and in the produce of your land; for the Lord will again delight over you for good, just as He delighted over your fathers,
10 IF (THAT’S A BIG IF!) you listen to and obey the voice of the Lord your God to keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in this Book of the Law, and IF (THAT’S ANOTHER BIG IF!) you turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul (your entire being).
Where are you at today my beloved?
Have you turned to the Lord your God with your entire being?
Do you need to turn away from the renegade spirit, and back to the Lord?
Do you need Jesus to circumcise your heart and remove the desire to sin? Call out to Him. Confess your sins, and forsake them. He is waiting and READY to forgive and restore you. Turn away from the renegades, and back to Him.
I encourage you to make covenant, or renew covenant with the Lord TODAY! He has been, and always will be, the loving Father who waits for His beloved child to return to Him. Because He wants to prosper, multiply and bless you with abundance.
Turn to the Lord today, and he will take you back, restore you, and again delight over you for good!
I love you all! PV
