How to Maintain Spiritual Confidence and Move Forward.

Good Morning My Loves, On the journey to our dreams there are many challenges, obstacles, distractions, and pitfalls. Keeping our focus, momentum, and joy on the journey, becomes a choice, as there are some exhausting climbs and treacherous downhill grades.

Staying focused on the Lord, is key to maintaining the strength necessary to move forward, and go to new levels of challenge and responsibility.

Here’s one of my favorite verses that strengthens me when I’m feeling wobbly and worn out:

Habakkuk 3:19 (AMP)

The Lord God is my strength [my source of courage, my invincible army];

He has made my feet [steady and sure] like hinds’ feet

And makes me walk [forward with spiritual confidence] on my high places [of challenge and responsibility]. Let’s take a closer look at this verse:

1. THE LORD GOD IS MY STRENGTH, MY SOURCE OF COURAGE, MY INVINCIBLE ARMY. There are times when you feel weak and afraid. But when you know that God, the Greater One, lives on the inside of you, you don’t allow your feelings to derail you. You don’t discount your feelings, but you don’t allow your feelings to discount God. He is your INVINCIBLE ARMY! You know Him as Jehovah Sabaoth - Lord of Hosts - Lord of Heaven’s Angel Armies! When satan fell from heaven he took one third of the angels with him, leaving the greater portion in heaven. Not only did Christ defeat him at the cross, he has less angels. He is a defeated foe with a smaller army. You have ALMIGHTY GOD on your side, and you have more angels. He with the most angels wins!

2. HE HAS MADE MY FEET STEADY AND SURE. When you live a life that is surrendered to Christ and bow your heart before Him daily, He upholds you. When you fall down or feel wobbly, He lifts you up and makes you steady. Psalm 145:14 (AMP)

The Lord upholds all those [of His own] who fall

And raises up all those who are bowed down. 3. HE MAKES ME WALK FORWARD WITH SPIRITUAL CONFIDENCE. You have a powerful calling to bring change to your world, and you cannot afford to stay stuck in fear. God gives you a powerful conviction and inner confidence that is not dependent on external circumstances. You possess a spiritual confidence and knowledge of how much God loves you, and is for you. This makes you move forward with unshakable, unmoving, indestructible FAITH!

4. HE ALWAYS TAKES ME HIGHER, AND WITH THAT NEW LEVEL, COMES NEW CHALLENGES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. With each new level there is a feeling of chaos. The key to this part of the journey is “He makes me walk forward on my high places.” You don’t promote yourself ahead of His leading! If God isn’t moving you forward, you learn to wait upon Him! “Never promote yourself ahead of God’s leading or grace. When God moves you to new heights, His grace is there to sustain you!” When you wait on God’s timing, you have the grace to embrace the emotional, psychological, and spiritual battles that come with the territory. It’s here that the insecurities, anxieties, and turbulence that freak most people out and cause them to abort their destiny, are overcome by the power of the Holy Spirit. THIS DOESN’T HAPPEN WITHOUT A DEEP, ABIDING, AND INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LORD!

I declare that in the midst of your current challenges, you have a spiritual confidence that comes from the Lord. You are moving forward and conquering the challenges and responsibilities that lie ahead. You are a world-changer that will leave a lasting impact! I love you all! PV
