Choose Peace, Choose Power!

Good Morning My Loves, What is your natural tendency when crisis or challenges arise? Do you choose peace, or do you get all riled up? My natural tendency when a challenge arises is to go into fight mode. My “take charge” personality type doesn’t naturally go into a state of peace. That’s why I need a “supernatural solution” in times of conflict and crisis.

The devil wants to wear us out physically and mentally, because he knows the power of peace. Do you? He wants us too weak to take appropriate action in every challenge. He bombards us with adversity and opposition in an attempt to weaken us. He knows that the person who hasn’t discovered the “power of peace,” will not have supernatural strength to withstand him. However, the person who has discovered the “power of peace” will defeat him every time! It’s taken me years to “not” immediately get wound up when a conflict arises. I used to wear myself out and waste all my energy and strength fretting about the situation. I’ve learned that if I’m going to maintain strength in every season, I’ve got to choose the “peace of God,” in EVERY CHALLENGE! Yesterday we took a deeper look at the “peace” that the Holy Spirit gives us. As I was meditating on John 14:27, I heard the Lord say “I’m teaching My people to walk, stand, and fight from the POSITION OF PEACE!” In fact, Jesus said “Let my perfect peace calm you in every circumstance, and GIVE YOU STRENGTH for EVERY CHALLENGE.

So, in other words “Strength is the by-product or “fruit” of peace!”

-When you choose peace, you choose POWER.

-When you choose to fret, you weaken yourself and become a victim of the enemies tactics. David had his fair share of conflict, and he learned this same principle. He penned these words: Psalm 29:11 (AMP)

The Lord will give [unyielding and impenetrable] strength to His people;

The Lord will bless His people with peace. My beloved, the devil has no defense against the peace of God. Why? Because peace isn’t just a calm feeling, Peace is a PERSON! When you choose Peace, you choose POWER! Think about that. The Holy Spirit is the POWER that raised Christ from the dead. He is the Spirit of Christ. He is ALL POWERFUL. No power in hell can penetrate or cause Him to yield. HE SIMPLY “IS" UNYIELDING AND IMPENETRABLE STRENGTH! All throughout the scriptures we find God saying to His people, “BE STRONG IN THE LORD..be bold..be courageous..do not fear..do not be anxious for anything..do not fret…do not FREAK OUT (emphasis mine..LOL)… Why? BECAUSE HE’S NOT FREAKING OUT! ABOUT ANYTHING! EVER! He’s always in control! He’s always victorious. He’s always powerful, because He is the PRINCE OF PEACE! That word “strong” is the Greek word “endoonamoo,” which literally means: to be infused and increased with POWER! To be made STRONG. It’s where we get the word “dunamis” or “dynamite.” I declare that because you are choosing the Person of Peace in every circumstance, you are increasing in strength and power. You are taking possession of your promise. You are taking back what the enemy has stolen from you during previous seasons of weakness. You are not only recovering all, but the dynamite power of God is destroying every assignment of the enemy, and you are walking in victory regardless of what is going on around you!
