Those Who've Been Faithful With the Little Things, are About to be Rewarded With MUCH!
Good Morning My Loves,
When I woke up this morning I heard the Lord say, “He who is faithful in a very little thing is also faithful in much; and he who is dishonest in a very little thing is also dishonest in much. (Luke 16:10) I’m about to reward the faithful with MUCH!”
As I went to the word to read that verse in context, I found that Jesus is talking to Pharisees who loved money more than God and people. They were "sneering and ridiculing" Jesus because he had told a story about a shrewd manager that used his rich manager’s wealth to be kind to people that were in debt to him. He cut them some slack (grace) instead of ripping their face off in business, and it ended up pleasing his master, and he was praised for it. (Luke 16:8-9) This is what arrogant and greedy people do. They sneer and ridicule those who teach the truth about tithing and stewarding Kingdom wealth as Jesus did. They treat people badly and stir up strife when it comes to money.
Proverbs 28:25 (AMP)
25
An arrogant and greedy man stirs up strife,
But he who trusts in the Lord will be blessed and prosper.
The word “strife” is the Greek word “madown” which means “to oppose,” TO BE RIVALS, to be in disagreement.
Jesus goes on to say, “Therefore if you have not been faithful in the use of earthly wealth, who will entrust the true riches to you? 12 And if you have not been faithful in the use of that [earthly wealth] which belongs to another [whether God or man, and of which you are a trustee], who will give you that which is your own? 13 No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stand devotedly by the one and despise the other. (In other words, “You can’t be a rival of God and receive the blessings, promotions, and increase of God!”) You cannot serve both God and mammon [that is, your earthly possessions or anything else you trust in and rely on instead of God].”
14 Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, were listening to all these things and were sneering and ridiculing Him. 15 So He said to them, “You are the ones who declare yourselves just and upright in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts [your thoughts, your desires, your secrets]; for that which is highly esteemed among men is detestable in the sight of God.
As I was praying into this passage, I heard the Lord say “I’m about to radically bless those who have not been in disagreement with My Word in the area of tithing. Your tithe is the only thing that safeguards your heart from the spirits of pride and greed. Your obedience and generosity has been a weapon of mass destruction against the the spirits of pride and greed. You have not bowed to the God of mammon.
You have not allowed pride and arrogance to stir you up to sneer and ridicule Me in the area of financial obedience. You have used your earthly wealth to invest in eternal Kingdom purposes. Because you have NOT been unfaithful and dishonest in the small things (tithing, alms, offerings), I am entrusting you with greater wealth. You have placed your trust in me, and I am causing you to prosper.
Many of you will be promoted, and doors of opportunity will begin to open for you. Not only are you storing up for yourselves treasures in heaven where you will be greatly rewarded, I’m unleashing abundance on you in this season because I have seen that the secret desires of your heart is to be a blessing to others.” Let’s position ourselves to be a bigger blessing than we’ve ever been, by continuing to be faithful in the small things. Let’s NEVER be in disagreement with God in the area of tithing. God will never trust us with greater wealth and Kingdom influence, if He can't trust us with the small (tithe) things! Can He trust you? Now it is required that those who have been given a trust (a steward) MUST PROVE FAITHFUL. (1 Cor. 4:2)
This word is not for His “rivals,” but for those who are faithful stewards. Those in agreement with Him through obedience. Get ready for promotion, increase, and greater abundance! I love you all! PV
