Love is the Key to Effective Intercession!
Good Morning My Loves,
Did you know that love is the greatest fuel and key for effective intercession? Jesus is our example. He so loved us, that He gave his very life for us, and the Word of God declares that “He always lives to intercede and intervene on their (our) behalf.” (Hebrews 7:25 AMP)
Because His love for us NEVER WANES, His intercession for us never wanes either.
I’ve found that when love for our subject wanes, so does our faithfulness to pray for it. Also, our prayers are hindered because it takes “faith” to see prayers answered, and the Word of God declares that “faith works by love.” (Gal 5:6) I was in prayer this morning and I heard the Lord say, “Many have become tired and are vacillating in their prayer life, because the enemy has hit them so hard in their “love walk.” I’m restoring their hearts through repentance and forgiveness, and giving them renewed vision and love for those they are called to pray for.
I’m also stirring up a new fiery love for those that have been praying for restoration of their cities, regions, and nation for many years. They’ve had enough of the enemy bringing death and destruction through acts of violence, injustice, and word curses. A corporate desperation is hitting large pockets of prayer warriors that have HAD ENOUGH! This desperation is fueling a renewed love for Me. It’s also fueling love and a sense of urgency to pray and repent for ungodly leadership and national sin. They are not cursing their leadership or nation, but laying down in humility and crying out for A TURNAROUND! Their prayers are fervent, effective, and bringing renewal and restoration!” A prime example of this kind of family and national love was demonstrated by Daniel. He prayed three times a day, every day, from a very young age. (Daniel 6:10) He consistently prayed for almost SEVENTY YEARS until the answer came. He was committed to prayer. It landed him in the lion’s den, but God delivered him from the mouth of the lions. Why? Because although innocent, he was willing to stand in proxy and repent for the sins of his nation and intercede for their deliverance, and keep on interceding until the answer came! (Dan 9:4-5) -You must love your family in order to effectively pray for them.
-You must love your pastors and church leadership to effectively pray for them.
-You must love your city and it's leaders in order to effectively pray for it.
-You must love your nation and it's leaders in order to effectively pray for it.
You may not always agree with what they do, but you must maintain love in your heart for them in order to effectively pray for them. This means that you cannot curse them and pray for their restoration at the same time! When you make that kind of ongoing investment in prayer for your subject, it’s impossible to not deeply care about it. Why? Because, “persistent prayer fuels love for your subject.” This is why it’s so important to have daily communion with the Lord. We’re only able to sustain prayer and do whatever it takes, for however long it takes, by sustaining love for God that comes through daily intimacy with Him. Many of you are about to see answers to prayer that you’ve been interceding for years for. Your faithfulness has been challenged, but you refused to let the opposition cause you to abandon your post. God is sending reinforcements to encourage you. At times you felt that your heart was becoming hard, but you refused to allow your love walk to become “jacked-up!” You fought for a pure heart, and God is not only pleased with you, but He’s bringing a season of refreshing and renewal to your weary soul! Be encouraged!
I love you all! PV
