God Always Makes Something Good Out of Our Bad.

Good Morning My Loves, Yesterday we looked at how God’s compassion and mercy causes Him to rescue us when we repent, regardless of how many times we’ve messed up or been unfaithful. (Judges 10:6-16)

In our culture when someone messes up and they acknowledge it, they say “My bad,” meaning “I made that mistake and I’m owning it.” I want you to know that “God is a master at making something good out of our bad.”

Romans 8:28 (ERV)

28 We know that in everything God works for the good of those who love him. These are the people God chose, because that was his plan.

-He takes our mess and makes it our message of hope for someone else who is trying to figure out how their life can recover from their own mess.

-He takes our tests and makes them our testimony of His awesome love, mercy, grace, and overcoming power!

It astounds me that God’s love is so great that He doesn’t throw us away like trash when we are tarnished, blemished, and filthy from sin. He see’s the beauty in us, because He created us. He knew us before we knew ourselves. He knew the beauty that He intended for us before we were ever in our mother’s womb. He is masterful at taking our stains and using them to paint His original masterpiece.

I read a story of someone who once showed an expensive handkerchief to a talented artist. The handkerchief was stained and blotted with ink. The person thought that nothing could be done with it. They thought it was ruined and useless. The artist took it home with him and “in time” returned it to his friend. He had masterfully used the stains and blots as a foundation for his fine artistic design. The nearly ruined handkerchief was now FAR MORE VALUABLE and beautiful. It was uniquely designed by the artist who saw the potential for an “original” piece that no one else saw. God does the same with our flaws and blemishes.

-He truly does make all things beautiful in His time. (Ecc 3:11)

-He gives us beauty for ashes. (Isa 61:3)

-He helps us and makes us happy. He gives us joy again, and makes our spirit strong and ready to obey Him, when we ask him.

Psalm 51:12 (ERV)

12

Your help made me so happy.

Give me that joy again.

Make my spirit strong and ready to obey you.

David wrote that verse above, and his terrible sin of adultery and murder was not only forgiven, but it became a transforming and powerful season in his life.

Peter’s failure of denying his Lord, caused him to experience the gentleness and forgiveness of Jesus. He wouldn’t have known what restoration looked like had he not gone through it himself. It made him more loyal and bold, and God used him mightily after that!

My Beloved, never allow the enemy to keep you defeated and sitting in your mess. The love of God is powerful enough to turn your bad into good. Give yourself to Him, mess and all. He’s going to make something good out of it!

I love you all! PV
