Today You Must Decide Who You Will Serve!

Good Morning My Loves,

Today is election day in America. Today we must decide whether we serve the Lord Jesus Christ - The Living Word, or the gods (demonic spirits) of this age. The lines are clear. It reminds me of what Joshua told the children of Israel when God delivered them from Egyptian bondage and they finally made it to the promised land. Like today, many of them still had one foot in “the world” and one foot in the “Kingdom of God.” Joshua told them, “Today you MUST decide who you will serve."

Joshua 24:15 (ERV)

15 “But maybe you don’t want to serve the Lord. You must choose for yourselves today. Today you must decide who you will serve. Will you serve the gods that your ancestors worshiped when they lived on the other side of the Euphrates River? Or will you serve the gods of the Amorites who lived in this land? You must choose for yourselves. But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.”

Some of the main issues in this election that we as believers must take God’s side on are: abortion on demand, the funding of Planned Parenthood who dismembers and harvests little babies for profit, and same-sex marriage.

-God does not support abortion (killing babies) on demand. That is straight from the pit of hell and satan himself. Our God is pro-life! Jesus said:

John 10:10-29 (ESV)

10 The thief (satan) comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I (Jesus) came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

-God does not support same-sex marriage, because He does not support same-sex intercourse. He calls it abominable and immoral, unnatural, and shameful. The Word of God says, “Don’t be fooled-deceived. Those who do this will not inherit the Kingdom of God."

1 Corinthians 6:9 (AMP)

9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; [a]neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate [by perversion], nor those who participate in homosexuality,

a. footnote - All such lifestyles are impossible for true believers, who continue to sin but not to (intentionally) live lives of sin.

Leviticus 18:22 (ERV)

22 “Men, you must not have sexual relations with another man as with a woman. That is a terrible sin!

Romans 1:26-27 (ERV)

26 Because people did those things, God left them and let them do the shameful things they wanted to do. Women stopped having natural sex with men and started having sex with other women. 27 In the same way, men stopped having natural sex with women and began wanting each other all the time. Men did shameful things with other men, and in their bodies they received the punishment for those wrongs.

The Bible clearly teaches that marriage is between a man and a woman. Genesis 2:24, describes it as a “man” leaving his parents and being united to his (female) wife. In 1 Corinthians 7:2-6, and Ephesians 5:23-33, it clearly states that marriage is between a man and a woman, and that Biblical marriage is for the purpose of producing children (not killing them), building a family, and raising them to love, honor, and serve the Lord and others.

I know many people that have had abortions, and that have been in homosexual and lesbian lifestyles. God has saved their souls and forgiven them of their past sins. However, they have stopped killing babies and living in sinful lifestyles since coming to know Christ. There is grace for all. There is salvation for all. There is love for all. But there is also “truth” for all. We must stand up for the truth regardless of what it cost us. It cost our Savior His very life to save us “from” these sins, and the death penalty for these sins. We must not elect someone who enforces what cost our Lord His life.

Today we must decide whom we will serve. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!
